Local Music Producer Competition Hosts 5th year anniversary Celebration!
Hampton Va. – On Saturday, November 12, 2011, from 7-10pm, A&R Management hosts its fifth year anniversary of “I Beat Daily” Va’s Official Producers Battle with an explosion of exciting opportunities and high celebration! The host for the “I Beat Daily” weekend event is the Hampton University Student Center.
Each year, A&R Management (ARM), a producer and artist management firm, hosts the beat competition to showcase local music producers. The event has been a successful event the past five years and the attendance continuously grows each time. Over the years, both, winners and participants, have received placements on the projects of major recording artists such as Trey Songz (Atlantic Records), Travis Porter (Jive Records) and Wale (Maybach Music Group). In 2009, ARM included a seminar portion to the event where music industry executives offered expertise during panel discussions.
In addition to this year’s event, there will be an A&R Management artist showcase on Sunday, November 13, 2011, from 7-10pm, where artists will perform live for Atlantic Records’ A&Rs and other music executives. After each performance, artists will receive on-site feedback. This event will take place at Visions, 143 e.little creek in Norfolk, The trendy Norfolk hideaway hosts great food, great vibes, flat screen TVs, signature drinks, high quality stereo system and much more to accommodate our event.
“The purpose of “I Beat Daily” is to create a networking event for all interested in music and the business of,” said Raychel Jones, CEO, A&R Management. “In addition, we focus on bringing exposure to producers in Virginia and provide a platform for them to showcase their talents.”
Both competitions comprises 16 producers and artists battling for a $1,000 prize pack: $500 cash (each competition), studio time 1,000 cds circulated in Atlanta (GA) with service to DJs and consultation (ARM). Five music industry professionals judge the beat battle. This year’s judges are:
