VIRGINIA BEACH - A child hit by a car in Va. Beach Friday night has died.
Seven-year-old Tashawna M. Harrison-Reddick, who lived on 16th Street, was struck by a white Honda Accord as she crossed in the 1500 block of Lynnhaven Parkway around 9:15 p.m.
She was taken to the hospital, but was pronounced dead about an hour later.
Investigators said speed and alcohol were not factors in this crash and that the case will be formally screened with the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney to determine whether charges will be filed.
