Biography
Nas signed Quan to his Ill Will record label, and featured him on "Just a Moment", the third single from his 2004 Street's Disciple album. The album was a critical success for Nas, and Quan's heartfelt verse earned him respect from the hip-hop community at large.[1] He later contributed to songs for the albums of both Cassidy and Jeannie Ortega.Quan intended to release an album called Until My Death with Atlantic Records,[2][3] but it has yet to be finished. The album is expected to have guest appearances from Nas, Tre Williams, Kanye West, Pharrell, Clipse, Missy Elliott, Chrisette Michele, Cassidy, Canibus, KRS-One and others. Some of the producers that are expected to have work on the album are Heatmakerz, L.E.S., Kanye West, The Neptunes, Just Blaze, Swizz Beatz, Salaam Remi, DJ Scratch, and Missy Elliott. One song originally planned for the album, "Q.U.A.N.", ended up having its beat used first in Young Hot Rod's "Be Easy", so Quan released his track through his MySpace page.[4]
